In the province of Pattanam, India, several archaeological discoveries linking the Port of Muziris to comercial routes to ancient Rome take place. These identitary discoveries are followed by the necessity to have archaeological workshops and many other resources linked to this activity. Portus Morfosis is a response to this challenge.
Portus morfosis aims to frame this space with a circular shape. The circle becomes a landmark in the landscape as well.
The construction of the project keeps in touch with the constructive and material culture of India. The constructive and design process is artisanal.
The intervention is planned to be able to disassemble and transform into a light cover if the excavations take that path.
